Private Label or Retail-Ready? Packing Options Explained
How supermarket groups get produce packed in their own brand at origin, and what to send us to make it happen.
Retail buyers rarely want a plain carton. They want their brand on the punnet, a barcode that scans at their till and a weight declaration that clears their compliance team. All of this is done at the pack house before the container is sealed.
Private label
Your artwork printed on cartons, punnets, flow-wrap film or labels. Minimum runs apply per format; we quote print lead times with the programme.
Retail-ready
Shelf-ready trays that go straight from the pallet to the shelf, with consumer packs already barcoded and weighed. The most demanding format and the one that saves your store staff the most time.
Bulk and food service
Large-format cartons or bulk bags for processors, caterers and wholesale markets. Lowest packing cost per kilo.
What to send us
- Artwork files (PDF or AI) and Pantone references.
- Barcode numbers (GS1) for each consumer pack.
- Your packaging specification: weight, count, material.
- A sample of your current pack if you have one — it answers most questions in one go.
